Must Power Corrupt? Judah, David, and the Bible’s Model Policies for Safeguarding the Public

June 17 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EDT

Virtual Event Virtual Event
Free

In this 90-minute session, we will explore the biblical stories of Judah and David, reflecting on their depictions of power, leadership, and corruption. We’ll also discuss what these stories can tell us about why, even with the best of intentions, organizations so often fail to prevent or stop abuses of power by communal leaders. You won’t want to miss this unique opportunity to study text and its teachings with scholar Judy Klitsner, senior educator at The Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies and founding Board Chair of Sacred Spaces!
