Foundations of Safeguarding Policies – for Boston-Area Organizations

What makes a safeguarding policy clear, actionable, and useful in practice? This foundational session will introduce the building blocks of effective safeguarding policies and explore the tools needed to turn an organization’s policies into everyday practice.
Through examples and guided exercises, participants will examine five key considerations for effective safeguarding policies and draft a safeguarding policy statement tailored to their organization. Participants will also receive a policy template and sample language they can continue using with their organizational teams.
